The PGA Tour’s 2027 schedule is coming more into focus, as three additional tournaments have now been confirmed for the early portion of the year. And outside of Hawaii’s exit, 2027 is shaping up much like 2026.

Sports Business Journal previously reported on the confirmation of the American Express, which will be held Jan. 21-24. Now, dates have been confirmed for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, WM Phoenix Open and Genesis Invitational.

The Pebble Beach tournament, which was thought to be a potential season opener, will be held Feb. 4-7, two weeks after the American Express. The WM Phoenix Open will be held the following week on Feb. 11-14, which falls on its traditional Super Bowl weekend. The week after that, as was the case in 2026, the tour will head to the Genesis Invitational from Feb. 18-21.

Still not settled is where the annual tournament at Torrey Pines will fall. It typically has been the week after the American Express, but the tournament is still in discussions on a new title sponsor after Farmers Insurance’s exit. Sources have indicated in recent months that Sentry Insurance is likely to take over the title sponsorship of that tournament.

Wherever Torrey Pines does fall, indications are that it would not be before the American Express, which means the 2027 season is likely to begin in the California desert. Though not the traditional starting point for the season, the American Express had a strong 2026 with one of its best fields ever and above-average TV numbers.

PGA Tour CEO Brian Rolapp discussed the tour’s vision for a new schedule at the Players Championship in March, but indicated it would be 2028 or later before that vision was fully implemented. Rolapp is expected to give another update on the tour’s plans in June at the Travelers Championship.
