Sportradar named SAMEER DEEN COO, effective May 18. He will report directly to CEO CARSTEN KOERL. Most recently, Deen served as Chief Commercial Officer & President at Entain. Previously, Deen served as Chief Digital Officer and SVP/Digital at Univision Communications (Sportradar).
Univ. of Miami AD DAN RADAKOVICH will retire effective June 1 (Miami Athletics).
HOK has acquired Rossetti for an undisclosed sum, and the combined firm will operate as HOK + Rossetti while integrating, though it will eventually just be known as HOK. All 87 Rossetti employees will join HOK’s sports practice but continue to work out of Detroit. The combined HOK + Rossetti sports practice will be led by Dirs NATE APPLEMAN, SHANNON BARTCH, AMY CHASE, JOHN RHODES, RASHED SINGABY and MATT ROSSETTI. Rossetti will become a director of HOK’s Sports + Recreation + Entertainment practice, and an HOK shareholder (Bret McCormick, SBJ).

Yahoo hired JARROD SCHWARZ from BetMGM to “oversee Yahoo Sports.” He will “start this summer,” and will “oversee everything from design and revenue to business development and content.” The position has been “open since last May,” when RYAN SPOON was promoted to oversee Yahoo’s overall media group (PUCK, 4/28).
Fox Rothschild named Holland & Knight LLP Partner & co-Chair of Sports Industry Team TYRONE THOMAS as a Partner in the Entertainment & Sports Law department in Washington, D.C. He will also maintain an office in N.Y. (Fox Rothschild).
The Advocates Professional Golf Association named JARRAD TURNER Dir/Development. Turner joins the APGA from the United Negro College Fund, where he served as a Capital Campaign Gift Officer (APGA Tour).
Innovative Partnerships Group named JENNA POWELL Dir/Marketing & Communications and JOHN PASQUALE Dir/Business Development. Powell previously spent more than eight years at CAA, where she led strategic communications initiatives across the agency’s Global Touring, Creators, Entertainment Partnerships, Theatre and Gaming divisions. Pasquale previously served as Dir/Sales & Marketing at Margaritaville Resort Times Square and spent over 20 years with Hard Rock International (Innovative Partnerships Group).
The Team named JAVAN ODEGAH Associate Dir/Impact & Inclusion, following eight years at Leaders in Sport, where was most recently Programming & Impact Manager (The Team).
