Several Fox Sports RSNs saw strong audience numbers for NHL openers on Thursday night. FS Midwest drew a 6.4 local rating in St. Louis for Rangers-Blues, marking the RSN’s best figure for a Blues’ opener on record. FS Detroit drew a 5.6 local rating for Bruins-Red Wings, marking the team’s second best season opener since '05 (behind only the opener from the lockout-shortened '12-13 season). FS Southwest also saw a big gain for its first Stars’ game of the season. The opener against the Blackhawks drew a 1.5 local rating in Dallas-Ft. Worth, up 149% from the team’s opener last season.
