The NBA and Turner Sports have finalized plans to begin offering domestic access to 10 minutes of real-time game access to NBA League Pass for $0.99 beginning Saturday. The move, representing an expansion of partial-game options for League Pass introduced last fall, has long been contemplated and was previously introduced internationally in January. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has repeatedly championed the notion of microtransactions and short-form content consumption, and this move has been a league priority. The 10-Minute Pass will be sold through NBA.com and the NBA App on mobile. Multiple games being played concurrently will be accessible in a single purchase of the 10-Minute Pass. “This new offering on League Pass is an important step toward reaching and engaging the widest possible audience,” said NBA Senior VP/Direct-To-Consumer Chris Benyarko.
