Privately owned automotive battery company Interstate Batteries is renewing the longest-running team sponsorship in NASCAR, as it will return to Joe Gibbs Racing for a 34th straight season in 2025. The sides today will announce that Interstate has put pen to paper on an extension that will last for multiple seasons. Interstate became JGR’s first sponsor when Joe Gibbs founded the team with his sons in 1992. This season, the Dallas-based company will serve as primary sponsor of JGR’s No. 20 driven by Christopher Bell in four Cup Series races, while it will be the primary partner on the team’s No. 54 driven by Ty Gibbs for one event at Nashville in June. The races with Bell will be the Daytona 500, spring Vegas, Texas Motor Speedway and the season finale at Phoenix in November (SBJ).
