Callaway Introduces Digitally Based Golf Lifestyle Show, With 20 Episodes On Tap

Callaway Golf "is taking a swing at producing a live video talk show for broadcast on the Web -- putting a lighter, entertainment-oriented spin on the traditional game of golf," according to Mike Freeman of the SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE. The show, called Callaway Live, is scheduled for about 20 episodes every Monday at 6:00pm PT "from now through Labor Day." The 25-minute episodes "will be shot at the company’s Carlsbad headquarters and remote locations." Guests "include Padres broadcaster Dick Enberg, who kicked off the first show Monday." Callaway Dir of Global Communications Scott Goryl: "It is more like being a part of the conversation than being a one-way advertisement." Freeman notes guests also "will talk with" Callaway CMO Harry Arnett "in front of a live audience of company employees." Next week’s episode "is slated" to be shot at a Top Golf, which Callaway has "an ownership stake in" ( SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 5/20 ).
