The Premier Lacrosse League's Waterdogs FC and Chaos FC face off today for the PLL Championship at 3:00pm ET at Subaru Park. The match will see the PLL bring “playoff lacrosse to Chester for the third time in its four years." The league has made Philadelphia a "postseason stop in its barnstorming model in all three of its non-bubbled seasons.” In the 2019 inaugural season, “12,556 spectators flocked to the final” at Subaru Park. PLL co-founder Paul Rabil said, “Seeing what we were able to do with the Philadelphia faithful in our first year, when most people, including many PLLers, weren’t sure what the product would look in Gillette (Stadium) Week 1, to see that turnout was special." Rabil added the PLL is “thrilled to be back here in Philadelphia,” and the league will “continue to come back to Philadelphia for our tentpole, playoff, championship moments” (Delaware County DAILY TIMES, 9/17).
