Presidents Cup wraps up today at Quail Hollow

The Presidents Cup concludes today at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte with the American team currently leading the International team 11-7. Former U.S. Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton "made appearances" at the venue Friday afternoon. They "took time to mingle with guests at the first tee." Both "appeared to be in good spirits" (WBTV.com, 9/23). Quail Hollow "promised a spectacle" and the venue "delivered, both logistically for the patrons and guests, and on the course for the players themselves." It added "650,000-7000,000 square feet of hospitality tents and the like surrounding the course on all sides." By comparison, the 2017 PGA Championship at the club had "450,000 square feet of 'raised floor.'" Quail Hollow has "proven itself a worth adversary, just as it does every year" for the Wells Fargo Championship, "just as it did for the 2017 PGA Championship, and just as it almost assuredly will in 2025 when it hosts the PGA Championship" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 9/25).
