Esports infrastructure company Vindex has bought Belong Gaming Arenas, which operates more than 500 gaming centers in the U.K. and Spain. Vindex plans to invest $300 million over the next five years to open more than 500 Belong Gaming locations in the U.S., and an additional 1,000 venues globally.
Belong Arenas are brick-and-mortar gaming centers that host amateur esports tournaments and leisure gaming activity among local community members. Belong’s gaming locations will now exclusively run on Videx’s software platform called Esports Engine. The software will allow Belong’s global network of gamers to communicate with each other.
