The Redbox Bowl is the first college football bowl game to be canceled amid the pandemic. Since 2014, the Redbox Bowl has been played at Levi’s Stadium, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
This past winter, the 49ers decided to not renew their partnership to continue hosting the game, which pits a Pac-12 team against a Big Ten opponent. Redbox Bowl organizers were unable to find a new home for this year's game, but plan for the bowl to return in 2021.
