Fiture, a Chinese Smart Fitness Startup, Seeks U.S. Expansion

Chinese interactive fitness company Fiture is aiming to expand its at-home workouts into the U.S. and European markets, according to the South China Morning Post. The company has raised more than $400 million over the past two years from investors such as Tencent and Sequoia Capital.

“We have almost 100% market share in the sector in China. We are looking for overseas expansion. For us, our definition of overseas expansion is the U.S. and Europe,” Fiture co-founder Richard Zhang told the SCMP.

Fiture has developed a wall-mounted smart display screen that offers AI feedback and workout classes ranging from yoga and tai chi to strength training. The product is similar to Mirror, the interactive fitness device that was bought by athletic apparel brand Lululemon for $500 million last year.
