Wild unveil new 'The 78's' alternate uniforms

The long-awaited Wild alternate jersey was unveiled Saturday morning and it "looks familiar to last year’s Reverse Retro jersey." The only variations added were a shoulder patch featuring the "State of Hockey" logo. Dubbed "The 78’s" in honor of the former Minnesota North Stars, the throwback alternate jerseys celebrate the design and colors of the North Stars' late-1970’s uniforms. The Wild "will wear the new alternate uniform 15 times this season" (THE ATHLETIC, 9/23).

Meanwhile, the T’Wolves will be rebooting a "vintage in celebration of their 25th anniversary." For 21 games this upcoming season, the T’Wolves "will be dusting off the inaugural uniforms," with some "modern tweaks, that the team used from 1989-1996." The T’Wolves already unveiled their 35th anniversary court with the original logo at the center (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 9/22).
