Kerr borrows move from Steph Curry in DNC speech

Warriors and U.S. men's national basketball team coach Steve Kerr stood in front of "a packed United Center" last night and greeted attendees for the opening night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, and the crowd responded with "cheers and thunderous applause." Kerr "praised" Vice President Kamala Harris and running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz "for their integrity," and he "called on Democrats to mobilize their fellow Americans to vote for Harris" on Nov. 5. He also "borrowed a gesture" from Warriors G Stephen Curry, saying, "After the results are tallied that night, we can, in the words of the great Steph Curry, we can tell Donald Trump, 'night night'" (S.F. CHRONICLE, 8/19).
