ESPN Chair Jimmy Pitaro yesterday surprised the net's Chris Berman with a statue of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse to celebrate Berman's 45 years with ESPN. Disney presents statues featuring the company's characters for every 5 years of service, starting with 15 years, but this was the first time someone got one for 45 years at ESPN. Pitaro told Berman he was going into a room to meet with sponsors, but instead surprised him with people close to Berman at ESPN and presented him the statue (SBJ).
