Mastercard is adjusting its broadcast sponsor integration around the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week. In title sponsor news, 3M signed an extension at the Minnesota-based tournament through 2030, while RSM extended its deal for the fall event on Saint Simons Island, Ga., through 2028.
- Rebel Bourbon will produce a limited-edition bottle using the name and likeness of NASCAR driver Kyle Busch, as it seeks to take its deal with Richard Childress Racing to the next level, reports SBJ’s Adam Stern.
- The WTA revealed a remade brand identity that aims to signal a “new era” for women’s tennis, notes SBJ’s Rob Schaefer. Tenets of the initiative include a fresh logo and ad campaign called “Rally the World,” which will see 30- and 60-second spots air on WTA digital channels and media networks, featuring top players Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur, Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka and Qinwen Zheng, among others.
- MLB on Friday will launch a limited-edition series of collectibles and merch for the upcoming Tokyo Series in collaboration with contemporary artist Takashi Murakami and Complex, reports SBJ’s Mike Mazzeo.
