Georgia Senate candidates asked about Braves

The Braves’ name, logo and tomahawk chop were among the subjects tackled by Rev. Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker in the Georgia Senate debate on Friday. Walker said those franchise marks should not be changed, noting, “We have too many other things to be concerned about.” Warnock noted Braves management holds meeting with Native American tribes in and around Georgia. He said, “They’re having a conversation about this. I know the folks over at the Braves organization, and I trust that they and the tribes that they’re talking to will come to a place that makes sense for all involved” (News Nation, 10/14).
