There are approximately 70 youth/amateur venues in the Sports Facilities Companies portfolio, including two that are scheduled to open this fall: AdventHealth Sports Park, a $125 million multisport complex at the heart of a billion-dollar, 277-acre mixed-use development south of downtown Kansas City; and the nearly $100 million sports complex in Mattoon, Ill., as the centerpiece of the 150-acre, mixed-use Emerald Acres Sports Connection project. The Clearwater, Fla.-based company helps municipalities form strategies for developing similar facilities around the country and typically operates the venue and oversees staffing, program management, event booking/management and sponsorship sales. — D.B.
