USA Football has signed Oakley as its official eyewear sponsor in a deal extending through the 2028 L.A. Games, putting the brand at the center of flag football’s Olympic debut.
The deal is a logical extension of Oakley’s major presence in the NFL, where it is one of just a few sponsors with branding on the field of play, and the USOPC, where it is an official supporter.
The deal covers USA Football’s men’s, women’s and junior’s national teams in tackle and flag versions of the sport. Oakley said its marketing of its sponsorship will focus on stories of standout athletes as the sport becomes more accessible through the spread of organized flag leagues, particularly for girls and women.
Oakley debuted for the junior’s team at an event in July, and will first appear for the men’s and women’s national team at the IFAF Flag Football World Championship in Finland Aug. 27-30.
