CEO Steve McNally will continue leading USA Taekwondo through 2028, signing a contract extension to stay with the national governing body through the L.A. Games. The deal has an option to extend it through the 2032 Olympics, set to be held in Melbourne.

McNally has led USA Taekwondo since 2017, helping guide the organization through transition after its handling of several sexual abuse cases prompted Congressional examination of the NGB and the movement. McNally changed USA Taekwondo athlete protection policies during his tenure.

In October, World Taekwondo named USA Taekwondo the best in the world for governance in the sport. The NGB was named the best member national association in the Pan Am Region in 2023.
