NCAA March Madness social accounts see engagement declines from ‘24

Activity on the NCAA’s official men’s basketball March Madness X, Instagram and Facebook accounts from last month’s Selection Sunday through the championship game compared to the same period in 2023 combined for a 16% decline in the number of engagements (22.7 million) despite a 41% increase in the number of posts (3,161), according to data from Zoomph. The NCAA’s women’s basketball accounts normalized after a record-setting 2024, with the number of posts (2,927) and engagements (8M) up compared to the 2023 tournament.
