CBS showed all 75 of Rory McIlroy’s shots in the 89th Masters on Sunday as he won his fifth major to complete the career grand slam. SBJ tracked every shot CBS showed from when the network broadcast came on the air at 2pm ET to when McIlroy holed his winning birdie. McIlroy’s total excluded his penalty drop on the 13th hole.
Unsurprisingly, Bryson DeChambeau, who was in the final pairing with McIlroy, had 69 shots shown during his final round 75, which left him four shots out of the playoff between McIlroy and Justin Rose. Through the first 9, CBS showed all of McIlroy’s shots and all but one of DeChambeau’s. His shot total dropped off slightly as he fell behind McIlroy on the second 9.

Rose, who birdied 18 to post the clubhouse lead, had 37 shots shown throughout the telecast. Only 15 shots of his were shown through the 12th hole, when his birdie on the short Par 3 vaulted him into a tie for second place.
Patrick Reed, who finished in third alone, had only 17 shots broadcast in the final round, though he wasn’t a factor early in the day. Reed made a late charge up the leaderboard with a hole-out eagle at No. 17 as several other competitors faltered down the stretch.
Ludvig Aberg had the third-most shots shown on Sunday and was only one behind when he teed off on the 17th, but he finished in seventh after he played his final two holes at +4.
