Shedeur Sanders is a star for Gen Z sports media company Overtime, but even as cameras follow him constantly ahead of the NFL Draft, the projected first-round pick remains unfazed.

The Colorado QB is one of three draft picks featured in Overtime’s “Draft House” series, and the first of eight episodes premiered today on YouTube (also featuring Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty and Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart).

“I’m happy I did the ‘Draft House.’ It was cool,” said Sanders. “It hasn’t been anything different for me; there are always cameras around me at all times. A lot of these guys are familiar faces. It’s extremely cool to be able to work and continue the partnership.”

The podcast “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders” launched in July as part of Overtime’s Athlete Talk Shows, and Sanders speaks highly of the experience.

“It gives me a voice to be able to speak on and clear up anything to the media,” said Sanders. “There are going to be good days, bad days. Just giving the people what they want to see and go in-depth into my life and experience a little bit more. Painting the picture that I want, rather than other people painting the picture of me.”

Sanders reflected his the bravado of his father, Deion Sanders, when asked to sum up his overall media strategy, giving a one-word answer.

“Brillant.”

Shedeur also noted his father gave him a lot of “good tips” on how to handle media attention.

“Just always being true to yourself, and being true to your character,” he said. “... My characteristic traits will always be my characteristic traits on and off camera or in or out of media.”

Sanders is representing himself heading into the draft. With his father’s ties to SMAC Entertainment on the representation side, Shedeur had no comment on the agency’s involvement with his process.
