Collectable, an online sports memorabilia investment marketplace, has announced a new partnership with memorabilia collector Sports Immortals to make fractional ownership shares of prized sports memorabilia items available on Collectable.
Among the first wave of Sports Immortals items to debut on Collectable are a Jackie Robinson autographed bat, a Wilt Chamberlain game-worn and autographed high school uniform, a Muhammed Ali WBC Championship Belt, a Kareem Abdul-Jabbar game-worn UCLA warm-up jacket from the 1969 NCAA Championship Game, and a 1965 Johnny Unitas game-worn and autographed road jersey.
Sports fans and investors can acquire minority stakes in these items. Collectable’s first item to IPO was a mint condition 1953 Topps Mickey Mantle card valued at $2.5 million, with shares sold for as low as $25. Dallas Cowboys legend Emmitt Smith is Collectable’s first athlete ambassador.
Rally Rd. also offers fractional investments of sports memorabilia (among other categories), but Collectable is dedicated exclusively to the sports marketplace.
