Aktivate, a youth sports management app, closed a $3.7-million Series A funding round on Thursday. The fundraising came from the contributions of five investment firms: Will Ventures, Tal Ventures, Benson Oak Ventures, 97212 and Tieferes Ventures.
The company, which was founded in 2020, has raised more than $14 million since its creation. In 2021, Aktivate produced a $7-million seed funding round. Aktivate says it is currently working with six of the 10 largest school districts in the nation.
Aktiviate helps athletics departments maintain fundraising and utilize online crowdfunding. So far, the platform has assisted in raising $35 million in school efforts. It also helps to manage year-round schedules for sports, as well as student registration and communication.
