Track and field club Star Athletics is now using wearable resistance produced by Lila during athletic training sessions.
The garment, called Exogen, has multi-layered compression and features microloads of weights ranging from roughly two to 12 ounces. Lila offers full-arm sleeves, smaller sleeves for the upper arm, forearm and calf, as well as shorts and a sleeveless top. The sports tech company has served athletes from the NFL, NBA, UFC, World Rugby and Ligue 1, among others.
Star Athletics is led by coach Dennis Mitchell, a three-time Olympic medalist, and features runners like Olympic silver medalist Kenny Bednarek and former Division I individual champion Sha'Carri Richardson.
