Orioles lead TV play-by-play announcer Kevin Brown "has been suspended indefinitely" for comments about the team's performance against the Rays during a series two weeks ago. The reported reason for the suspension was Brown saying prior to a game against the Rays, "The Orioles have won more games against them this season than the last two combined." Sources said that the comment "seems to be what’s at issue." Brown "has been off the TV airwaves since calling the end of the team’s series" against the Rays on July 23 and "shifted to radio for a series" against the Phillies after that. He has "been off the air entirely since that series' July 26 conclusion" (AWFUL ANNOUNCING, 8/7).
