ESPN will pair former NFLer Chris Canty with SiriusXM’s Evan Cohen and Michelle Smallmon as its "new morning team" on ESPN Radio for a "new program the network hopes will begin in time for football season in a few weeks," according to sources cited by Glasspiegel & Marchand of the N.Y. POST. The trio is "replacing the combination of Keyshawn Johnson, Jay Williams and Max Kellerman." Canty will move to mornings after having "worked with Chris Carlin in afternoons on ESPN Radio." Smallmon previously worked in "morning drive on ESPN Radio’s affiliate in St. Louis" and "departed the station to do national update anchoring for ESPN Radio last year." Cohen will "depart his SiriusXM program, 'Morning Men.'" Meanwhile, Mike Greenberg is "expected to continue" from 10am-noon ET, while the "rest of the national afternoon lineup is still being sorted out, though Carlin figures to be a part of it" (N.Y. POST, 8/8).
