Chris Fowler signed a "new long-term contract with ESPN" that will see him "call five NFL games this season alongside Dan Orlovsky and Louis Riddick." The group has been "assigned Saints-Panthers for Week 2." Fowler, whose "old contract expired in July," still has "college football and tennis as part of his deal." Fowler joined ESPN in 1986 (THE ATHLETIC, 8/22).
