Fans outraged at Peacock-only UA-Purdue game

The Univ. of Arizona and Purdue will go head-to-head in a "men's college basketball showdown between Top 5 teams" tomorrow afternoon, but the fact that the game can only be viewed on Peacock "has many college basketball fans upset and some even outraged" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 12/14). Such an arrangement "might appear less than ideal for college basketball as a whole," having a rare Top 3 matchup "stuffed away from traditional over-the-air, cable or satellite television -- or even away from streaming packages that act and feel like cable TV." Arizona even "posted a notice on its website" that "warned fans that they will need Peacock to see the game" (ARIZONA DAILY STAR, 12/12).
