ESPN, Disney and the NHL are teaming up again for the second “NHL Big City Greens Classic,” which will see the Penguins and Bruins face off in a live, animated game telecast on Saturday at 3pm ET. The alternate broadcast will feature real-time virtually recreated animation of players modeled after characters on the Disney Channel series “Big City Greens.” It will again leverage tracking technology to recreate the action on the ice as it is happening while featuring “Big City Greens” characters skating alongside animated versions of the NHL players. The broadcast team of Drew Carter, Kevin Weekes and Arda Ocal also will wear virtual reality headsets while calling the game. The "Big City Greens Classic" will air on ESPN+, Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney+, while the traditional broadcast of Penguins-Bruins will air on ABC and ESPN+ (NHL).
