Duke Football unveils renovated locker room

Duke University unveiled its renovated football locker room Monday evening, a project designed by the S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM) and part of the school’s eight-month refurbishment of Yoh Football Center. The new locker room includes antimicrobial lighting that works overnight to eliminate bacteria.

SLAM, whose sports work is based out of its Atlanta office, designed the Connecticut Sun’s locker room project, which opened last month, and has another – the University of Texas’ new beach volleyball locker room and lounge – opening in early August. Other contributors to the Duke football center project include Hollman (lockers), Jack Porter (experiential design), Newcomb & Boyd (engineers), and CT Wilson Construction (construction).
