Univ. of Oklahoma sets $110.3M fundraising record in FY24

The Univ. of Oklahoma athletics department yesterday announced that it “set a new record for fundraising” in FY2023-24, amassing $110.3M in donations between July 1, 2023 and June 30, 2024, a ccording to Mason Young of the TULSA WORLD. OU athletics’ FY24 fundraising efforts “eclipsed” the previous record of $109M in FY22. Since 2020, OU athletics has raised $348M toward its goal of collecting $725M “by the end of 2027,” as part of the university’s Lead On campaign with an overall goal of $2B. Sooner Club members have been the “driving force.” In FY24, 17,171 Sooner Club members “representing 50 states made donations to the department.” There were also 17 pledges of “at least” $1M to OU athletics in FY24, which broke the previous record of 11 such commitments in FY23. OU athletics also has “raised 35.5% of funds” toward its $365M goal for athletic facilities upgrades (TULSA WORLD, 8/20).
