Gemma Wright leads private equity giant CVC’s investments into women’s sports, most notably overseeing its backing of initiatives in tennis and volleyball. CVC last year invested $150 million to launch WTA Ventures, a commercial arm for the Women’s Tennis Association. In 2021, the London-based firm partnered with the FIVB on Volleyball World, a joint venture focused on growing the sport globally. Wright sits on the board of both organizations. — C.S.
