The Rays' opening day game "has been pushed back a day" to March 28, allowing the team an extra day to prepare "given the amount of work needed to convert Steinbrenner Field from the Yankees' spring stadium to the Rays' 2025 regular season home." Under the agreement between the teams and with MLB, the Yankees "will have full use of the facility through their final spring game" on March 23. The Rays "then will begin the process of moving into the home clubhouse and transforming much of the branding, signage and advertising." In addition, though no specific information on ticket sales or prices has been released, the Rays -- noting "capacity limitations" at the 11,000-seat stadium -- said Monday that fans "are encouraged to secure seats for the 2025 season with a $100 deposit toward a Full Season Membership" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 12/9).
