The Arizona Republic went with the header, "Returning hockey to Phoenix would be great ... with 2 conditions." Bringing an NHL team back to Phoenix would take two things: "a new owner. A decent one this time" and "A new owner who can attract private investors to build a private arena." While it was "nice to have all four major professional sports teams in the Valley," the day is "over when we should be forgoing future tax revenues to pay for these palaces." Still, it's a "good move" by Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Chair Tom Galvin to at least "open up talks to see what it would take to bring hockey back to the desert."
