Revolution sign Gillette as new kit sponsor

The New England Revolution show off new kit sponsor Gillette
Gillette has signed on as the new kit sponsor for the Revolution Revolution

Gillette is becoming the “new front-of-jersey sponsor” for the Revolution, according to Michael Silverman of the BOSTON GLOBE. The Gillette logo will replace that of UnitedHealthcare, which became the Revolution’s “first (and to date only) front-of-jersey sponsor” in 2011. A white “Gillette” will be “splashed across the club’s primary blue Boston Tea Party jersey,” which debuted last season. On Wednesday, the club will “reveal a new secondary Community jersey, which also will feature the Gillette name” (BOSTON GLOBE, 2/11). In Boston, Grant Welker notes the deal “brings a local business and one well-known to area sports fans” as the naming rights sponsor to Gillette Stadium. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed (BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL, 2/11). The partnership runs through the 2031 MLS season. Gillette was represented by Elevate (Lead Negotiation), Ketchum (MMK+), and MTKG. Kraft Sports & Entertainment did not use an agency (SBJ).
