The start of the 2025 Daytona 500 has been “pushed up an hour,” now starting at 1:30pm ET with a green flag “tentatively” set for 2pm, “give or take” due to weather. Everything on Sunday’s schedule “has been moved up, including driver introductions, which are now slated” for 1:05pm. The National Weather Service “predicts a 40% chance of showers” after 1pm on Sunday with wind gusts “as high as 30 miles per hour” (Daytona Beach NEWS-JOURNAL, 2/14).
