Browns share new stadium renderings, provide update

Cleveland Browns

The Browns published a letter to fans, providing new renderings on the team’s proposed stadium and issuing an update on its progress. The Browns in the letter wrote they have “done extensive diligence and have concluded that a new enclosed” Huntington Bank Field in Brook Park with an “adjacent mixed-used development is the most viable long-term solution.” The team noted the new stadium will “sit less than a mile from Cleveland city limits” and is “accessible from two major highways.” It will come with a “transparent roof, maximizing natural light” while “amplifying the sounds of gameday or a live concert,” a seating bowl with seats close to the field and a “Fan Wall” for the “most ardent fans.” The new stadium would also “improve the challenging ingress and egress and parking situation” (SBJ).

The team also “increased the price of their season ticket packages by an average of about” 7%. Another source said that the “number is actually closer” to 5%. The smallest increases were for field seats at 3% on average and club seats between the 30-yard lines at 2.5%, as well as club seats between the 10- and 30-yard lines at 3%. The largest increases were for lower level seats between the goal line and the 30 at 9% and the upper level end zone seats at 9%. Season ticket members who renew by March 28 “can attend a draft party at Huntington Bank Field featuring a private concert” from Journey on April 24 (CRAIN’S CLEVELAND BUSINESS, 3/18).
