Premier League club Manchester City has “frozen the cost of general admission season tickets and individual match tickets for next season.” The announcement was made a week after fans “protested at the Etihad Stadium over ticket issues, including prices.” The club said the decision was made “after consultation with City Matters,” the official fan body of the team (London GUARDIAN, 4/9). The “next big decision for tickets” will come when the expanded North Stand opens, which is “expected to be in January 2026 for the first test events, providing the construction work runs on time” (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 4/9).
