The Kings are “finalizing a deal to hire” former Knicks GM Scott Perry to be Sacramento’s next GM, according to sources. Perry started his executive career in 2000 with the Pistons, spent three months with the Kings as VP/Basketball Operations in 2017 and left for the Knicks, where he held the role of GM from 2017 through 2023. Perry replaces Monte McNair, who mutually agreed to depart from his role as Kings GM after the team’s play-in tournament loss Wednesday night (ESPN.com, 4/17).
