NWSL club Denver Summit FC have “reached 15,000 season ticket deposits” for its inaugural season, according to Kyle Newman of the DENVER POST. The number is a new high for an NWSL expansion club, after the team became the “quickest expansion franchise to reach 10,000 season ticket deposits.” The Summit will play the first two seasons at a 12,000-seat modular stadium in Centennial before the club moves to its permanent home -- a planned 14,500-seat stadium and entertainment district at Santa Fe Yards in Denver. Fans are “paying $30.30 for general seat deposits and $100 for premium seat deposits.” The pricing and inventory for both levels of season tickets are “still being determined” and the timeline for converting those deposits into true-season ticket purchases has “not yet been finalized.” Even if some of those fans who put down deposits do not end up purchasing season tickets, the club is “tracking to surpass its capacity for both its temporary and permanent home” (DENVER POST, 9/15).
