In London, Martyn Ziegler noted LA28 organizers are “due to announce their ticketing plans early in the new year,” but the organization will “not allow tickets to be resold on its own platform for many times the purchase value.” Olympic organizers “plan to announce a fully transparent system around prices, categories and resale options.” A source said that it would be “different to FIFA’s in almost every respect.” FIFA has claimed that it has “little choice but to use” the dynamic pricing system “that is the ‘existing market practice’ in the United States.” It is “not clear” how LA28 “will deal with independent secondary ticket platforms reselling tickets” (London TIMES, 12/9).
