MLB Again Goes Early With Spring Training Schedule Release

MLB today released its '19 Spring Training schedule, roughly three months ahead of typical league practice. The accelerated schedule unveil for Spring Training -- which will again be sponsored by Camping World -- follows last week’s earlier-than-ever release of the regular-season schedule. The Cactus League slate will begin with Mariners-A’s on Feb. 21 in Mesa, with those two teams slated to begin next year’s regular season schedule in Japan .

Grapefruit League games will begin on Feb. 22 with Phillies-Rays from Port Charlotte, Fla. The schedule of games will also feature two games in Monterrey, Mexico, involving the Rockies and D-backs , and the Braves playing their final home exhibition game at their new Spring Training facility in North Port, Fla., that will formally open in '20.
