USGA Raises Purses For Men's, Women's U.S. Open In '19

The USGA is increasing purses for both the '19 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links and this year's U.S. Women's Open at Country Club of Charleston by $500,000. The U.S. Open purse will be $12.5M, making it the largest of the four major championship purses. The U.S. Women's Open purse will now be $5.5M, making it the largest in women's golf. The winner of the women's event for the first time will receive $1M ( USGA ).
