CFL Commissioner Says League Looking To Play '21 Season

CFL Commissioner Randy Ambrosie said during a virtual state-of-the-union address that the league is “looking at playing next year and expects to release a 2021 schedule soon.” He said that the league “is planning on staging the '21 Grey Cup in Hamilton, as scheduled.” A “big challenge” facing the CFL's plans regarding ’21 is the “uncertainty surrounding the novel coronavirus, be it what the numbers will be like next summer or when a vaccine might be widely available.” It also is unclear “whether fans will be allowed to return to stadium and if so, how many,” should the league return next year (CP, 11/16).
