ManU fans protest again, but match goes on

Hundreds of Manchester United fans "gathered to demonstrate against" owners the Glazer family ahead of today's match with Liverpool, but the game ultimately went off as scheduled at 3:15pm ET. Last week's ManU-Liverpool match was postponed after dozens of supporters broke onto the pitch. Today, roads leading to the stadium "were blocked by masses of police and supporters" and "two people have been arrested" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 5/13). ManU players reportedly "drove themselves to the stadium and that two team buses did dummy runs between their own hotel and the stadium in a bid to throw off protesters" (London GUARDIAN, 5/13).
