ESPN Notes: NFL lifts studio show viewership

Two ESPN shows set viewership records on Monday morning surrounding the NFL's Wild Card weekend. "Get Up" drew 658,045 viewers, topping the previous record set exactly a week earlier by 6%. "First Take" drew 918,386 viewers, up 7% from the previous record set in December of '19.

Meanwhile, in the runup to Super Bowl LVI, ESPN will air much of its multi-platform coverage from Disneyland Resort in California. Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 9, through Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 13, shows such as "Postseason NFL Countdown," "NFL Live," "SportsCenter" segments, "NFL Matchup" and ESPN Deportes content will be anchored from the ESPN parent company's park. In addition, the Downtown Disney District will offer a fan experience Feb. 10-13.

Also today, ESPN revealed that due to concerns and restrictions around COVID-19, ESPN will not be sending any news personnel to the Beijing Games and will instead focus on covering the Olympics remotely. This follows NBC's decision not to send its announcers to Beijing (SBJ).
