114.7 million -- Number of U.S. adults now able to bet on sports online, following this morning’s compromise that will legalize online sports wagering in Massachusetts, with its 5.2 million residents age 21-and-over. The 114.7 million equates to about 47% of the country's adult population. About 40% percent of U.S. adults can bet online legally today: Maryland and Ohio also have legalized online sports betting, but have not yet cleared the way for sportsbooks to begin taking bets (Bill King, SBJ).
