Sports & entertainment agency Paradigm Sports led the closing of an initial seed funding round for an upstart tech platform called Huupe, a smart basketball hoop that allows for performance tracking and online competition. The size of the round was not disclosed. Paradigm Founder & CEO Audie Attar will join Huupe’s BOD as a founding board member to provide strategy and guidance. The funding round also included F Street Ventures, Reform Ventures, JB Fitzgerald, Tundra Angels and Ball Tek Ventures, alongside angel investors. Huupe has also received investments from NBA players including Thaddeus Young and Trevor Booker. The product is expected to come to market in 2023 (Paradigm Sports).
