HBO tonight is debuting its new Willie Mays doc “Say Hey, Willie Mays!” at 9pm ET/PT. The film, which explores the life and career of the Baseball HOFer, was produced by Company Name in association with UNINTERRUPTED, Zipper Bros Films and MLB. The doc premiered at the Urban World Film Festival in New York on Oct. 27. It marks the third project that was produced in association with MLB this year, joining The History Channel’s “After Jackie” and ESPN’s “The Captain.” MLB previously worked with HBO as a production partner on “Under the Grapefruit Tree: The CC Sabathia Story” in 2020.
